1. Retention principles#
Toke keeps personal data only for a defined operational, security or legal purpose. When that purpose ends, data is deleted, anonymised or restricted where a legal claim or obligation requires limited continued retention. The current website does not store journey, payment, vehicle or identity-document records.
2. Current schedule#
| Record | Retention approach |
|---|---|
| Passenger and driver interest registrations | Reviewed and deleted after 24 months without meaningful contact, or earlier following a valid deletion request where no overriding reason applies |
| General contact enquiries | Up to 12 months after resolution, unless needed for an ongoing matter or legal claim |
| Consent and withdrawal records | Kept as long as necessary to honour the choice and demonstrate compliance |
| Form-security and request records | Short, proportionate operational period needed to investigate abuse and protect the service |
| Optional analytics events | Aggregated or deleted when no longer needed to understand website performance; not used to build advertising profiles |
| Email delivery records | Retained according to the operational settings of Toke and Resend, then deleted or minimised |
3. Deletion, restriction and backups#
Deletion is applied to active systems and propagates through normal backup-retention cycles. A record needed for a dispute, security investigation or legal duty may be isolated and restricted rather than actively used. Toke does not retain data indefinitely merely because storage is available.
4. Service providers#
Cloudflare, Resend and hosting providers may retain limited technical records under their own documented security and legal requirements. Toke configures services to minimise data and access where reasonably available.
5. Requests and review#
Questions or deletion requests may be sent to contacto@toketaxi.net. Toke reviews this schedule when processing changes materially and will publish an updated version before applying a materially different period to new data.
